Fucidin® (sodium fusidate; oral aqueous solution, fusidic acid) is an antibiotic (injectable or oral) and is used to treat serious infections caused by susceptible bacteria that have not responded to other antibiotics. The injectable formulation is administered by a suitably qualified health professional, usually in hospital. The oral formulation is available only by prescription from your doctor.
