ALBUMEX 4 is a 4% human albumin solution for intravenous administration containing 40g/L of albumin.
ALBUMEX 4 may be used when blood volume is low (hypovolaemia), when a heart-lung bypass machine is used during surgery, and in plasma exchange (a process where some of the liquid part of blood is removed and replaced with ALBUMEX 4). Hypovolaemia may occur during shock, after heart-lung bypass surgery, and in patients with multiple organ failure or leaky small blood vessels.
ALBUMEX 4 is available only with a doctor’s prescription.Who is this information for?
