Support of Australian Patient Groups 2010-2014

CSL is committed to helping our patient communities and advancing knowledge in our therapy areas. For patient communities, our focus is on partnerships and initiatives that enhance the quality of life for patients and improve access to our medicines. CSL Support in 2014

In the period January to December 2014, CSL supported the following patient groups.

Australian Herpes Management Forum
  • An educational grant was provided to assist with development of clinical guidelines to up-skill general practitioners, clinicians and specialists and allied health professionals.
Australian Pain Management Association
  • Grant to support the promotion of shingles resources to members.
Cancer Council Victoria
  • A donation equivalent to employee contributions made to the Cancer Council through CSL's workplace giving program, to support the Cancer Council Victoria.
Chronic Pain Association of Australia
  • Unrestricted educational grant to support public relation activities to raise the awareness of Chronic Pain during Chronic Pain week
Haemophilia Foundation Australia
  • An unrestricted contribution to support education, advocacy and research activities undertaken by HFA according to HFA objectives.
HAE Australasia
  • An unrestricted contribution to support education, advocacy and research activities undertaken by HAE Australia according to HAE Australia objectives.
  • A contribution was provided to assist with HAE Australasia Annual Patient Conference to facilitate patient awareness of hereditary angiodema, recent clinical research and advancements in treatment.
Heart Foundation
  • An unrestricted donation equivalent to employee contributions received by the Heart Foundation through CSL's workplace giving program.
Immune Deficiencies Foundation of Australia
  • Purchase of table at the annual IDFA fundraising ball. The tickets were donated to the IDFA for use by IDFA members at IDFA's discretion and invitation.
  • Sponsorship for the printing of 3,000 PID handbook for patients and families.
  • An educational grant for the ongoing maintenance of content on the IDFA website and the production of Primary Immune Deficiency educational materials for patients and their families.
Lung Foundation Australia
  • An unrestricted educational grant of fixed value to assist with support of disease awareness and educational initiatives in the area of pneumococcal disease.
MS Australia
  • A charitable donation following the presentation by an MS Ambassador to bioCSL employees.
MS Research Australia
  • Educational grant to MS Research Australia to assist with educational and training services provided to patients with MS, their carers’ and their families, and support for research, campaigns and other activities of MS Research Australia.
Pain Australia
  • An unrestricted grant to support pain education, awareness and advocacy activities relating to Pain Australia's objectives.
The Myositis Association Australia
  • The Myositis Association-Australia Incorporated (Myositis Association Australia) provides a support network, assists myositis patients to manage their condition, supporting research, promote awareness of myositis and strive to improve the quality of life of myositis patients. An educational grant was provided to support the updating of The Myositis Association's website.

Australian Pain Management Association
  • Contribution for attendance at national pain conference for educational purposes
Cancer Council Victoria
  • A donation equivalent to employee contributions made to the Cancer Council through CSL's workplace giving program, to support the Cancer Council Victoria.
HAE Australasia
  • An unrestricted educational grant to support the 2013 HAE Australasia patient meeting.
Haemophilia Foundation Australia
  • An unrestricted donation to support education, advocacy and research activities undertaken by HFA according to HFA objectives.
  • An educational grant to support Haemophilia Foundation Australia members attend the World Federation of Hemophilila Congress.
  • A donation equivalent to employee contributions made to the HFA through a workplace giving fundraising event during Haemophilia Awareness Week 2013.
Heart Foundation
  • An unrestricted donation equivalent to employee contributions received by the Heart Foundation through CSL's workplace giving program.
Immune Deficiencies Foundation of Australia
  • An unrestricted educational grant of fixed value to support the production of education materials for people with primary immune deficiency.
  • An unrestricted educational grant of fixed value to support the activities of the Foundation.
  • A donation equivalent to employee contributions made to the IDFA through a workplace giving fundraising event during International Plasma Awareness Week 2013.
Lung Foundation Australia
  • An unrestricted grant of fixed value to raise awareness of lung disease, promote lung health and to provide advocacy, education and support services to those impacted by lung disease.
Multiple Sclerosis Australia
  • A restricted contribution of fixed value to support education and training programs undertaken by Multiple Sclerosis Australia.
Multiple Sclerosis Society of Queensland
  • A restricted contribution of fixed value to support education and training programs undertaken by Multiple Sclerosis Queensland
Multiple Sclerosis Society of Western Australia
  • A restricted contribution of fixed value to support education and training programs undertaken by Multiple Sclerosis Society Western Australia
Multiple Sclerosis Research Australia
  • An unrestricted donation of fixed value to support research activities through Multiple Sclerosis Research Australia
  • An unrestricted donation of fixed value to support research and fundraising activities through Multiple Sclerosis Research Australia

  • An unrestricted grant to support pain education, awareness and advocacy activities relating to Pain Australia's objectives.
The Inflammatory Neuropathy Support Group of Victoria Inc.
  • An unrestricted educational grant of fixed value to support the continued registration and maintenance of an Inflammatory Neuropathy Support Group website to enhance access to patient support materials.

  • Sponsorship of a key-note address at an MS Society patient gathering.
The Myositis Association
  • An unrestricted educational grant to support primary activities of patient education and support.
Pain Australia
  • An unrestricted grant to support pain education, awareness and advocacy activities relating to Pain Australia's objectives.
The Inflammatory Neuropathy Support Group of Victoria Inc.
  • An unrestricted educational grant of fixed value to support the development and registration of the Inflammatory Neuropathy Support Group website to enhance access to patient support materials.

Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations
  • An unrestricted educational grant to assist in the development of educational resources to increase awareness of and health literacy regarding human papillomavirus (HPV) disease burden in males.
     
Cancer Council Victoria
  • A donation equivalent to employee contributions made to the Cancer Council through CSL’s workplace giving program, to support the Cancer Council’s Helpline Service.
Haemophilia Foundation Australia (HFA)
  • Sponsorship of the HFA's biennial conference - the '16th Australian & New Zealand Haemophilia Conference' to be held in October 2011.
  • An unrestricted donation of fixed value to support education, advocacy and research activities undertaken by HFA according to HFA objectives.
Heart Foundation
  • An unrestricted donation equivalent to employee contributions received by the Heart Foundation through CSL’s workplace giving program.
  • Sponsorship of the Heart Foundation Pharmaceutical Roundtable to support research and the quality use of cardiovascular medicines.
Pain Australia
  • An unrestricted grant to support pain education, awareness and advocacy activities relating to Pain Australia's objectives.
The Australian Lung Foundation
  • An unrestricted grant of fixed value to raise awareness of lung disease, promote lung health and to provide advocacy, education and support services to those impacted by lung disease.
The Inflammatory Neuropathy Support Group of Victoria Inc.
  • An unrestricted educational grant of fixed value to support the continued registration and maintenance of an Inflammatory Neuropathy Support Group website to enhance access to patient support materials.

  • An educational grant to support an HFA representative to attend 2010 Hemophilia World Congress.
Heart Foundation
  • An unrestricted donation equivalent to employee contributions received by the Heart Foundation through CSL’s workplace giving program.
  • Sponsorship of the Heart Foundation Pharmaceutical Roundtable to support research and the quality use of cardiovascular medicines.
